Calling All Artists!

Wilton Art® is calling all artists to help us build public art throughout Wilton Manors. In Winter 2024, we will be presenting our fifth annual fundraising auction to support our mission.

We invite artists to create one-of-a-kind artwork to participate in our fifth annual silent auction fundraising event. All entries should be exactly 12” by 12”. Choose your medium, method, and madness as you create this artwork for a silent auction.

We will be showcasing all artists in a pop-up gallery in Wilton Manors, Florida for a month-long salute to art, artists, and art patrons, from February 2 to 25, 2024. We will create beautiful walls of art featuring an eclectic array of works by established, new, and emerging artists.

Based on the number of entries, we are able to show every 1st artwork submission in the gallery space and online. We may have to show the 2nd submission by each artist as an online entry only. We will not know until the closing days of submission how many will be online only. Please be aware that our top buyers from 2022 were located out of town and these top bids represented substantial value to the artist and the organization.

Patrons will be invited to bid online. Minimum bids will start at $125 and grow in $25 increments until the live auction closes on February 26 when winners will be announced.

Each artist agrees to sell their work at a 50% commission based on the bid level received. The purchaser takes home a beautiful one-of-a-kind work of art. Wilton Art® receives a 50% donation to fund future public art projects. (Unless the artist donates their work and Wilton Art® would receive the entire bid amount.)

Required online submission form and Artwork drop-off dates

Artists wishing to participate in artsquare12x12.2024 will be required to submit an online submission form [link to the form is on this page] prior to submitting their artwork. Artists are kindly requested to complete this submission form by Saturday, January 6, 2024. Submissions will be closed after that time deadline.

Wilton Art® will be hosting dates and times to drop off your completed artwork. After you have completed your entry online (see the Submission Form on this page), you can drop off your works on the following date:

  • After the drop-off, we will catalog, photograph, and secure your artwork until the exhibition.

Pop-up Gallery & Live Auction

On Friday, February 2, 2024, at 5:00 PM EDT, the artsquare12x12.2024 auction will go live. Wilton Art® will host an opening reception that evening at a pop-up gallery presented by Pride Corner Art & Frame in Wilton Manors.

Online bidding will be managed by first-class auction house LiveAuctioneers. The reach of LiveAuctioneers is worldwide, giving an expanded opportunity to introduce your artwork to a bigger audience. The auction will close after all artwork has come up for live bidding on the closing night, Sunday, February 25, 2024.

ARTIST GUIDELINES

Complete the artwork submission form below by January 6, 2024. After that time the form will NOT ACCEPT any new entries. This lets us know you are participating. Be sure to sign the form.

Any artist may submit artwork to be included in the exhibition/ fundraiser.

The artwork must be 12” x 12”. Original artwork only. Only two submissions per artist. Any type of media is welcome.

Please DO NOT submit any wet panels. The artwork should be ready to hang. (Sawtoooth hangers are not permitted)

Unframed work is preferred. All works on paper must be mounted and able to easily display.
