Wilton Art® is moving into new spaces and collaborations. We have commissioned wire sculptor Spenser Little to create multiple one-of-a-kind sculptures, as we build public art throughout Wilton Manors.
On December 5, 2019, we hosted Spenser for the afternoon as he met with our board, elected officials and various citizens to learn about the uniqueness, concepts, and expansion for the City of Wilton Manors. That evening Spenser attended the Holiday Lighting Ceremony to see the true diversity of our city.
“Wire Magician reveals”…
These sculptures from self taught artist Spenser will reflect our city in metal wire. Images of people, animals along with creative thought provoking words. The sculptures will include references to the four principles of nature, equality (for all), inspiration and humor. These core principles were the basis for our first project, artsign.2018.
The time to look “up in the air” will be December 2020 for our installation. Sixteen unique sculptures will become permanent installations framed by the ever changing palette of nature, sun, rain, clouds, day and night.
